Abstract

Zusammenfassung In der Grundschule werden raumgeometrische Erfahrungen vor allem mit dem Würfel gesammelt. Bernd Wollring regt an im Mathematikunterricht ein Gleichgewicht zwischen Invention und Konvention herzustellen. Dies nahm ich auf, ersetzte den Würfel durch das Rhombendodekaeder und sammelte in Versuchen Erfahrungen im Umgang mit schrägen Körpern. Dabei beantwortete ich Fragen zur Produktion der geometrischen Körper und dokumentierte einen Erfindungsprozess. Die Körper aus der Umformung des Würfels zum Rhombendodekaeder sowie der drei Zerlegungen eines Rhombendodekaeders (Rhomboeder, regelmässige Doppelpyramiden und gerade Pyramiden) führten zu neuen Ideen. Ich fand neue Körper und kombinierte diese in unterschiedlicher Zahl miteinander. Es entstanden Puzzle-Erfindungen. Ich erachte das Rhombendodekaeder als prüfenswerten Körper für den Geometrieunterricht der Grundschule. Dieser Körper erweitert die Raumvorstellung, die in der Schule bis jetzt vor allem durch den Würfel geprägt wird.
