Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das Schätzen von Längen spielt in vielen Alltagssituationen eine wichtige Rolle. Entsprechend ist der Kompetenzerwerb im Bereich des Schätzens von Längen national wie international ein wichtiges Ziel des Mathematikunterrichts der Grundschule. Aus mathematikdidaktischer Sicht stellt sich die Frage, wie Lernmaterialien gestaltet werden sollten, um effektive Lernaktivitäten zu ermöglichen. In diesem Beitrag beschreiben wir zunächst die Vielfalt an möglichen Anforderungen, denen Kinder in Schätzsituationen begegnen können. Anschließend leiten wir daraus Kriterien für die Gestaltung von Aufgaben zum Schätzen ab und illustrieren diese exemplarisch anhand von Beispielen.
