Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Rechner kann vieles, beispielsweise die Begriffsbildung durch verschiedene interaktiv verknüpfte Repräsentationen unterstützen, den Problemlöseprozess durch Rechenleistung begleiten oder auch als Kontrollinstanz vorheriger Arbeiten dienen. In diesem Beitrag soll eine weitere und relativ selten dargestellte Funktion des Rechners thematisiert werden. So kann der Rechner Ausgangspunkt für mathematische Erkundungen sein, wenn man (mathematische) Phänomene in hoher Stückzahl erzeugt und versucht, mathematische Muster zu beschreiben. Diese Funktion wird an verschiedenen Beispielen elementarer mathematischer Fragestellungen verdeutlicht.
