Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die elementar-algebraische Formelsprache ist ein grundlegendes Darstellungsmittel der Mathematik und gehört zu den klassischen Stoffgebieten an weiterführenden Schulen. Wegen ihres hohen Abstraktionsgrades ist ihre Behandlung im Unterricht nach wie vor eine didaktische Herausforderung. Der folgende Artikel beschäftigt sich mit der Entwicklung der Formelsprache und den zugehörigen didaktischen Problemen.
