Abstract

In this paper an improved finite difference scheme is investigated to solve the equation of filtration type in porous textiles with phase change materials (PCM), which can be expressed as a nonlinear source term. Due to the effects of source term, the constructed scheme is total variation bounded (TVB). On the basis of this scheme thermal buffering effect of PCM is simulated. The distributions of the temperature, saturated degree in the porous media with PCM were numerically computed by this technique. For the comparison the distributions of the temperature, saturated degree in the porous media without PCM were also numerically computed. The results indicate that this method is satisfactory.
