The Place and Role of the Digital Revolution in the Relevant Literature

The aim of this chapter is to present place and role of the digital revolution in the relevant literature. The digital revolutionrevolution covers most areas of human existence and continues to spread. However, it must be technologically, economically and socially justified. Its embedment in business, the economyEconomy and societySociety should be based on the logic of benefits and the creation of new values. Only then will it be able to generate streams of various types of opportunities to improve the quality of life of humanity as a whole. The digital revolutiondigital revolution can be seen as a process of transition from various analog to digital technologies, in which relevant information, communication and data processing become digital, leading to highly significant changes in the economy, society and daily human existence. The digital revolution should be based on core scientific paradigms so that its results are positive and can be fully controlled by society. Only under the conditions of scientific knowledge will all its applications be able to be monitored and verified for the benefit of the general public as opposed to selected social groups. In this regard, it is important to implement and develop it in such a way that there are no social exclusions resulting, for example, from the lack of access to digital solutions.
