Abstract

According to the US Green Building Council, buildings consumed 36% of total energy consumption in the United States. As the importance of sustainability concept continues to grow, more researches have been focused on improving energy efficiency during building’s operation phase. Improving energy efficiency also helps to reduce business operating costs. That is the main reason why businesses are interested in saving energy. It is the facility management which takes care of business support activities. Facility management helps optimize the operational costs implicit in the infrastructure. In this paper, we looked at the experiment focused on improving energy efficiency. The measurement was carried out for 2 years, 2015 and 2016 (data was collected every day at 7 p.m.). Its main objective was to obtain the necessary data for experimental research. There were monitored and measured energy flows and information related to heating and hot water consumption in the building.
