Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine what kind of a spatial distribution and disparity is seen in 7 June and 1 November 2015 elections and to drop hints for the ruling and opposition parties by associating these determinations with public expenditures. The spatial distribution and disparities of the elections in terms of the relevant parties were determined with Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis (ESDA). Besides, as the political choices are important economic indicators and important reflections in the economic field, the regional distribution of the public expenditures and the vote rates of the ruling and opposition parties were compared in terms of spatial distribution in this study. As a result of this study, some important signs showed that the public expenditures were used to manipulate the voter preferences in Turkey.
