Abstract

This work elucidates the interplay of responsible leadership (RL) and employee creativity (EC) in the Vietnamese healthcare industry, investigating how affective organisational commitment (AOC) acts as a moderator and how knowledge sharing (KS) operates as a mediator. We utilised a questionnaire survey grounded in social exchange theory (SET) to compile information from 214 nurses randomly selected from public hospitals in Vietnam. The results of the structural equation modelling (SEM) showed that RL and EC were significantly related. More importantly, findings revealed a positive link between RL-KS, which subsequently enhanced the EC of nurses, and AOC functioned as a moderator in the relationship between RL and EC. These insights offer valuable theoretical contributions to understanding the influence of RL in public hospitals and practical implications for enhancing EC through effective RL styles.
