Abstract

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a prevalent neurodevelopmental disorder affecting about 5–10% of children and adolescents worldwide. It is characterized by difficulties in attention, impulsiveness, and hyperactivity. These challenges hinder academic performance, particularly in traditional educational settings. ADHD presents a significant learning challenge and obstacle in the students’ learning processes and hence requires tailored approaches. This study evaluates the effectiveness of existing visualization tools in supporting ADHD learners, identifies their limitations, and proposes enhanced features to improve students’ engagement, comprehension, and retention. The study proposes adaptive learning pathways, user-customizable interfaces, and multi-sensory engagement features as critical enhancements. These recommendations serve as a foundation for optimizing educational technology for ADHD learners, ensuring greater accessibility and effectiveness.
