Abstract

Shared e-scooter services offer promising solutions to urban mobility challenges yet remain constrained by user acceptance concerns. Drawing on 529 user survey responses, this study employs Satisfaction-Requirement Analysis (SRA) and the Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method to pinpoint critical factors driving adoption and operational efficiency. The findings underscore the pivotal roles of service infrastructure, vehicle maintenance, parking management, and pricing strategies. Our study reveals that improving application usability, enhancing vehicle durability, optimizing parking resources, and implementing transparent pricing can foster greater adoption. These insights offer actionable guidance for policymakers and urban planners seeking to develop sustainable, efficient shared e-scooter ecosystems.
