Innovative Communication in Complex Project Management: The Use of AI, Organizational Resilience, and Narratives as a Link Between Hard and Soft Skills

This study proposes an innovative framework that simultaneously integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI), organizational resilience, and narratives to improve communication in complex project management. While each of these strategies has been previously explored in isolation or in pairs, no prior research has investigated their combined potential to mediate between hard (technical) and soft (interpersonal) skills. Using a meta-synthesis of three well-documented case studies—IBM Watson, Toyota, and Cisco—this research identifies how AI enhances semantic precision and automation, resilience supports adaptability and cultural strength during crises, and narratives foster emotional engagement, identity formation, and stakeholder alignment. The findings suggest that integrating these strategies generates a synergistic effect, improving communication effectiveness and reducing rework in high-complexity environments. This is a propositional study, not an applied implementation. It aims to fill a gap in the literature and inspire future research into integrated communication strategies for project success. The implications and limitations of adopting these tools across diverse organizational contexts are also discussed.
