Use of Digital Technologies for Occupational Health and Safety

Abstract

Digital technologies (DTechs) are a real asset for improving occupational health and safety (OHS). However, their use is not always optimal. The aim of this study is to extend understanding of factors involved in the use of DTechs, in the context of OHS. Semi-structured interviews enabled to gather the experiences of 16 users with OHS-related functions, who use a specialized digital tool for this purpose. Thematic analysis revealed individual, organizational, technological and environmental aspects that they consider for their use, and which, in the long term, affect their commitment and ultimately the optimal use of the features and resources offered.
