Abstract

Ensuring food security remains a critical challenge in an era characterized by climate change, asymmetric resource distribution, and increasing global food demand. This study explores the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in agriculture, focusing on its ability to enhance productivity, optimize supply chains, and foster sustainability. AI-driven innovations, such as precision agriculture, predictive analytics, and automated decision-making, can significantly improve resource allocation and risk management, bridging gaps in knowledge and efficiency. However, the successful deployment of AI in agricultural systems is contingent on overcoming key challenges, including infrastructure limitations, financial constraints for small-scale farmers, and concerns regarding data privacy and ethical AI governance. This study underscores the need for interdisciplinary collaboration, policy support, and tailored AI applications that account for diverse environmental and socio-economic contexts. By addressing these barriers, AI can potentially foster resilient and sustainable food systems.
