Abstract

The article analyzes adaptive leadership models in public administration to identify the strategies needed for effective management change in the context of digital transformation. The aim of the research is to explore flexible and innovative approaches that can support public sector leaders in the face of the challenges imposed by digitalization. The methodology used combines the analysis of specialized literature with a comparative analysis of relevant case studies, highlighting the applicability of the theory in practical contexts. Among the main conclusions of the study are the importance of developing digital skills, the need to promote inter-institutional collaboration and the adoption of a leadership style based on empathy and continuous learning. The added value of the research consists in providing applicable recommendations for improving institutional resilience and creating a more flexible workforce. The limitations of the study include the small number of case studies analyzed and the difficulty of generalizing the conclusions in diverse national contexts. Future directions of the research aim to deepen the analysis through empirical studies and explore the impact of new technologies on adaptive leadership models.
