Abstract
Fast fashion and the growing production of low-quality clothing have a negative impact not only on the textile industry, but also on clothing manufacturers; retailers, the environment, copyright holders, and public finances. Apart from bringing benefits to the parties involved, the reuse of clothes generates problems for companies applying this practice. Properly functioning reverse logistics contribute to consumer satisfaction, the preservation of traders’ economic profitability. Exploration upon textile reverse supply chain processes is vital for identifying potential alternatives for optimal management strategies. This paper aims to demonstrate the usefulness of reverse supply chains as a sustainable solution to the issues arising from the fast fashion industry. The article explores the nature of reverse supply chains, highlighting their role in the efficient operations of the companies. The study contributes to the field of sustainable supply chain management by highlighting the most effective practices and managerial approaches. Methodological instrument applies descriptive analytical research method combined with a longitudinal approach and quality data treating. While the study focuses solely on analysing companies at the national level and their specifics, not considering direct customer perspectives, future research could aim to measure organizational commitment in the context of operational performance and explore customer perceptions regarding products and goods that have passed through reverse supply chains and re-entered the market.
