Abstract

Hotel businesses implement various policies in order to develop a competitive advantage. One such policy is the implementation of Environmental Corporate Social Responsibility (ECSR) practices. ECSR contributes to increasing the value of the business through the dynamic use of ecological practices in order to meet the needs of all stakeholders. ECSR constitutes a platform for creating an effective business model, based on ecological criteria, that promotes ecological innovation and the long-term development and evolution of the business. However, in Greece, this development model is still in its early stages. Using appropriate tools for collecting and processing primary research data, a positive relationship is demonstrated between the implementation of Environmental Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policies and both employee performance and the growth of hotel businesses.
