Abstract

At the Victor Babeș University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara, we have implemented a cultural mediation programme which aims to bring together and introduce students in medicine to art. Within the programme, I have integrated an earlier project—two therapeutic journals where art meets personal experience. It was a four year work which comprises five hundred works of young doctors to be. The volumes Soul (I) and Perspectives (II) Confessions of Young Doctors: A Therapeutic Journal are written in English, German and Romanian and underline the fact that art and feeling have no barriers. In the cultural and academic landscape, I encourage students of different nationalities to have a voice, to be part of a cohesive cultural community as participants, artists, writers.
