Abstract

Flipped learning has emerged as an innovative methodology in higher education, especially in distance learning contexts, where flexibility and the strategic use of digital technologies are essential. This chapter analyzes the application of the flipped model in virtual environments, exploring its benefits, challenges, and effective strategies for implementation. Key aspects such as the design of asynchronous materials, the promotion of synchronous collaborative activities, and the role of the teacher as a facilitator are discussed, all from the perspective of implementation in a course in the Computer Engineering program at the National University of La Matanza. In addition, empirical evidence is presented that highlights its impact on student autonomy, active participation, and academic performance.
