Abstract

This article explores the dynamics of inter-organizational relationships within local product cooperatives in Morocco. It aims to identify the key factors influencing coopetition strategies in this specific organizational context. The study examines the impact of commitment, inter-organizational trust, and opportunism on coopetition within these cooperatives. A quantitative study was conducted on 155 local product cooperatives using structural equation modeling (PLS approach). The results indicate that inter-organizational trust is a crucial factor for coopetition. However, commitment does not have a significant influence, while opportunistic behaviors negatively impact coopetition within the studied organizations. This study contributes to the understanding of coopetition strategies in the context of local product cooperatives, highlighting the role of trust and opportunism in shaping inter-organizational relationships.
