Abstract

This study examines the strategic role of green finance in accelerating Kosovo’s transition to a sustainable, low-carbon economy. Drawing from contemporary international literature, case studies, and primary data collected via a 71%-response survey from ministries, the EBRD, and commercial banks, it identifies opportunities in key sectors: renewable energy, energy efficiency, and circular economy. Institutional and legal barriers are highlighted, alongside the need for capacity building, cross-sector cooperation, and robust policy frameworks.
