Abstract

This study examines the relationship between health policies, digital transformation workplace safety regulations, and the economic impact of serious and fatal workplace accidents in Germany, Spain, France, and Italy. The research focuses on how healthcare workforce availability and expenditure influence accident rates in countries with centralized versus decentralized healthcare systems. Using quantitative data, the study finds that Germany and France, with stronger public health systems and safety regulations, have lower accident rates compared to Spain and Italy, where decentralized healthcare systems contribute to higher incident rates. The study offers unique insights through a SWOT analysis, providing recommendations for improving workplace safety across diverse healthcare systems.
