Education While Aging: The Importance of Financial Education at an Old Age

Abstract

This literature review article makes a reflection regarding the importance of financial education at an old age, money management in this stage of life and what physical and psychological problems this age group has. After this reflection, the following aspects emerged: economical sustainability at an old age, balance between savings and spending level, how seniors invest, the need of financial education, economic forecast for foreseeable health emergencies, retirement planning, financial autonomy, and risk profile. This document explores financial education main principles from a technical point of view of different authors and the way they can be used in real life.
