Abstract

This study explores the intricate relationship between emotional intelligence (EI) in leadership and team performance at Qatar Airways, integrating digital management tools and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques within the unique socio-cultural context of the organization. Employing both qualitative and quantitative research methods, this investigation draws on secondary research sources and utilizes a Likert-scale questionnaire administered to 187 participants selected via random sampling. Grounded in Daniel Goleman's EI model, the questionnaire examines demographics, teamwork quality, team performance, and mediating/moderating factors. Leveraging AI, including machine learning algorithms and sentiment analysis tools, enhances the data analysis process, providing deeper and more accurate insights. Digital management systems are utilized to perform regression analysis and test hypotheses, revealing statistically significant relationships between a leader's emotional intelligence and both team quality and performance. The findings underscore the pivotal role of emotional intelligence in fostering effective team dynamics and enhancing overall team performance within Qatar Airways. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of socio-cultural factors such as human development and psychology within organizational contexts and demonstrates the importance of emotional intelligence in leadership for sustainable socio-cultural development. By integrating AI and digital management tools, the research offers innovative strategies for improving leadership effectiveness in modern organizational environments.
