Abstract

The main issue that is considered in the framework of this study is how economically feasible it is to use technical and technological support (equipment) at an industrial enterprise that operates in the field of mechanical engineering. In the process of analysis and evaluation, the authors considered the issue taking into account the priorities of the concept of sustainable development. The article considers the system of indicators that are usually used to assess the production capabilities of an enterprise from economic perspective. Based on this analysis, the authors developed recommendations on how to improve the methods of assessing the technological equipment of machine-building enterprises taking into account environmental aspects. The authors note the lack of consistency in the coordination of the innovative component of the process of technical and technological modernization at the level of market entities, as well as the methodological insufficiency of accounting and analytical support for management decisions taken in this regard. The manager can contribute to the sustainable development of the machine-building industry if decisions will be made based on the following indicators: current efficiency of the enterprises’ production and technical facilities; the necessity of renewal of these facilities. These indicators should be grouped depending on the goals and objectives of the enterprise.
