Abstract

The energy complex in the Russian Federation has a huge resource potential, which can determine the dynamics and scale of vital activity of all sectors of the economy and the social sphere of the country. Since Russia is not only a consumer, but also a major exporter of energy resources, the issues of correlation between the goals of ensuring national and global stability become particularly important in the context of globalization and structural changes in the global energy market. The article presents the results of scientific research and discussions on such aspects of assessing the impact on the imbalance and stability of the energy market as the refusal of a number of countries from gas and coal-fired generation and an active transition to carbon-free energy sources, a reduction in the production of certain types of energy resources due to climate change, the introduction of various kinds of restrictions on the volume of supplies and the level of prices for supplied energy resources from the outside western countries, technological innovations in the field of energy generation, etc. The objective of this study is to analyze, summarize, and review the established approaches presented in Russian and foreign economic literature to solving specific scientific and practical problems in the field of the selected topic. The authors used an approach based on systematic, statistical, economic, monographic, abstract-logical methods, and the method of expert assessments. The scientific novelty of the research is to identify the level of previous studies and to form the authors' own position on the issues under consideration. The main conclusions are based on scientific literature, statistical and analytical data from domestic and international organizations.
