Abstract

This study examines the impact of psychological contract violations on organizational commitment within the Greek Public Sector, with a particular focus on a public insurance organization in Greece. It analyzes the role of organizational justice as a mediating mechanism between psychological contract violation and organizational commitment. Employing data derived from 156 public employees, the study reveals that psychological contract violation significantly and negatively affects organizational commitment and justice, with organizational justice acting as a full mediator. The study offers practical recommendations for improving public administration, suggesting that enhancing perceptions of justice and transparency can mitigate the negative effects of psychological contract violation on organizational commitment.
