Abstract

It is not a novelty that the Third Sector and the Civil Society organization are formed, mainly, by women. But is their participation equal than men? That means, women are positioned in the bases and on boards in the same proportion? And the presence of women is homogeneous throughout different scopes? Data exploitation of civil society organizations and in the Third Social Sector specifically has been carried out in Catalonia. In addition to the area of activity, other elements can determine the presence of women, especially in the decision-making areas like economy dimension and the juridical form. The results draw a sector that, although it has a transformative vision of reality, seems to reproduce some traditional gender roles in its structures.
