Abstract

Digitalization and sustainability are important far-reaching policy objectives that need to be reconciled. Since the WTO legal framework is partly outdated, this task is now “transferred” to regional instruments often having extraterritorial effects, mainly covering due diligence obligations and cyber resilience requirements. But further harmonization of standards remains important.
