Abstract

Este trabajo tiene como propósito conocer el uso de las Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación (TIC) en las micros empresas (MYPE) ubicadas en Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche. La recopilación de los datos se realizó mediante la aplicación de un cuestionario, tomando como referencia el del Observatorio para la Sociedad de la Información en Latinoamérica y el Caribe (OSILAC) relacionados a los ¿Indicadores claves sobre el uso de TIC por la empresa¿. La muestra se conformó por 243 empresas. La investigación es empírica. Los resultados indican la falta de equipamiento tecnológico por parte de la MYPE, así como el poco interés en invertir en las TIC y la incipiente participación en el mercado electrónico. La recomendación para este sector empresarial es incorporar las TIC a sus actividades en búsqueda de la competitividad frente a las exigencias de un mercado globalizado, para crear una estrecha comunicación y satisfacción con el cliente.
