Abstract

Modeling past hypothetical performance can never replace real-world performance. Data is problematic, as sources for data on the Islamic investible universe is poorly organized for both researchers and practitioners. A final limitation is that no other study has examined multi-asset sharia-compliant optimized portfolio investing, giving no reference point for this study. As an Islamic asset management industry evolves, additional research can further test multi-asset optimized portfolio performance, both hypothetical and real, with more abundant data requiring less labor to clean and sort.
