The monetary approach to exchange rate variations

Abstract

Under fixed exchange rate regimes adjustment is done by money flows (Chapter 17). Under a flexible exchange rate regime, adjustment is made by changes in exchange rates. These changes are mainly determined by the various monetary policies which are implemented in various countries.
