Abstract

Durante el período colonial, la región caribeña rural del Virreinato de la Nueva Granada, no tenía una actividad productiva que ayudara al desarrollo económico y la población la constituían grupos indígenas que no tributaban a nadie, los factores climáticos y el transporte influyeron para que la dinámica económica fuera muy lenta.
