Los distintos conceptos de tasa de cambio

Abstract

Comenzamos con el estudio de una serie de conceptos de tasa de cambio nominal como las tasas de cambio directa, efectiva y a plazo. Luego continuamos con el estudio de los conceptos de tasa de cambio real, a saber, las tasas de cambio bilateral, multilateral y la relación entre el precio de los bienes transables y no transables. Mientras que la tasa de cambio nominal es el número de unidades de la moneda local que se dan por una unidad de moneda extranjera, la tasa de cambio efectiva es un concepto de tasa de cambio nominal vis à vis un país extranjero imaginario compuesto por los socios en el comercio de exportaciones. La tasa de cambio real bilateral mide el número de unidades del bien local que se dan por una unidad del bien extranjero, y la tasa de cambio multilateral es el número de unidades del bien local que se dan por una unidad del bien del país imaginario mencionado.
