Abstract

Das Projekt erarbeitete eine Bestandsaufnahme und kritische Diskussion gängiger Bildungsindikatoren im internationalen Vergleich aus interdisziplinärer und bildungsökonomischer Sicht. Im Fokus standen OECD-Indikatoren zu Bildungsabschlüssen, zu Schüler- und Erwachsenenkompetenzen (PISA, PIAAC) sowie zur Bildungsmobilität. Der Forschungsbericht enthält in den ersten beiden Kapiteln die Zusammenfassung von Referaten sowie der Diskussion und Reflektion der Bildungsindikatoren von Experten aus der Ökonomie und der Soziologie, die im Rahmen des Workshops "Bildungsindikatoren im internationaler Vergleich" am 21. Mai 2015 am Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) in Berlin stattfand. In den folgenden Kapiteln drei bis zehn enthält der Bericht eine vertiefende Analyse oft verwendeter OECD Indikatoren. Deren Vor- und Nachteile als Gradmesser der Leistungsfähigkeit des Bildungswesens werden aus wissenschaftlicher Sicht für ausgewählte Länder erörtert.
