Abstract

The data set RWI-PIK-CAPRI - CO2 price preferences contains the data from a survey conducted in summer 2021 on the acceptance of national CO2 pricing in Germany. The survey, carried out as part of the "Joint project CO2 price - Analysis of the short- and long-term effects of different CO2 pricing variants on society and the economy" (https://www.co2-preis.info/) funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK), contains extensive information on the socio-economic characteristics of the approximately 7,000 participants as well as their support and concerns about different levels of CO2 prices with different redistribution variants. A follow-up survey took place in summer 2023. The FDZ Ruhr provides more information on the dataset at https://doi.org/10.7807/rwi:pik:capri1:v1.
