Indikatoren ökonomischer Nachhaltigkeit

Abstract

Seit 25 Jahren wird das Konzept der Nachhaltigkeit intensiv diskutiert. Die Leistung dieses Ansatzes liegt darin, dass ökonomische, soziale und ökologische Aspekte in einen Gesamtkontext gestellt werden. Mit ihnen werden die Dimensionen Wirtschaftlichkeit, soziale Sicherheit und Umweltverträg-lichkeit betrachtet. Diese sollen so aufeinander abgestimmt werden, dass kein Ziel zulasten eines anderen verfolgt wird. Zur politischen Umsetzung ist es notwendig, die unterschiedlichen Ziele der Nachhaltigkeit auch messen zu können. Die Nachhaltigkeitsberichterstattung der Bundesregierung umfasst ein Set von 21 Bereichen mit 35 Einzelindikatoren, welches die ökonomische Dimension der Nachhaltigkeit aber nur unzureichend berücksichtigt. Daher werden in dieser Analyse 13 weitere Indikatoren ökonomischer Nachhaltigkeit vorgeschlagen. Die Berücksichtigung dieser Indikatoren bei der nationalen Nachhaltigkeitsstrategie bietet die Möglichkeit, die langfristige Tragfähigkeit der sozialen Sicherungssysteme, die Sicherung der Wachstumsbedingungen und zentrale Standortbedingungen für die Wirtschaft in Deutschland mit in den Blick zu nehmen.
