Abstract

Die Integration erneuerbarer Energien erfordert künftig vor allem im Stromsektor zusätzliche Flexibilität. Die vorliegende Studie ergänzt die existierende Literatur um einen systematischen Vergleich verschiedener Speicherstrategien.Die Entwicklung der innovativen Speichertechnologien hängt entscheidend von den energiepolitischen Weichenstellungen ab. Für die Politik besteht die Herausforderung, die Chancen der deutschen Industrie für Beschäftigung vor Ort vor dem Hintergrund starker internationaler Konkurrenz (Batterien) und hohen Aufwendungen für die Markteinführung (Wasserstofftechnologien) bei strategischen Entscheidungen zur Speicherung mit zu berücksichtigen.
