Abstract

Das öffentliche Finanzmanagement hängt in Österreich in vieler Hinsicht mit aktuellen Ansätzen zur Reform der Aufgaben und des föderalen Systems zusammen. Der sich ergebende Handlungsbedarf wurde zuletzt im Rahmen des Österreichischen Verfassungskonvents nur andiskutiert. Für die anstehende Modernisierung des öffentlichen Finanzmanagements bot der Workshop "Reform des Finanzausgleichs und des öffentlichen Finanzmanagements – Internationale Erfahrungen und Reformperspektiven für Österreich" mit ausgewiesenen Experten aus Deutschland, der Schweiz und aus Österreich im Herbst 2005 vielfache theoretische Einblicke und praktische Ansatzpunkte.
