Konjunkturbelebung ab dem 2. Halbjahr 2023. Prognose für 2023 und 2024

Abstract

Der internationale Konjunkturabschwung, der im 2. Halbjahr 2022 eingesetzt hatte und auch die österreichische Wirtschaft erfasst hat, dämpft auch noch im 1. Halbjahr 2023 das BIP-Wachstum. Um die Jahresmitte sollte die Wirtschaft sowohl im Euro-Raum als auch in Österreich wieder Fahrt aufnehmen. Für das Gesamtjahr erwartet das WIFO ein schwaches Wirtschaftswachstum von nur 0,3%. 2024 beschleunigt es sich auf 1,8%. Durch die deutliche Entspannung auf den Energiemärkten hat sich die Stimmung der Unternehmen und privaten Haushalte etwas aufgehellt. Die heimischen Tarife für Haushaltsenergie und damit die Inflation werden jedoch erst mit einiger Verzögerung nachgeben.
