Internationale Eintrübung lastet auf heimischer Konjunktur. Prognose für 2008 und 2009

Abstract

Nach +3,1% im Jahr 2007 wird die österreichische Wirtschaft heuer um nur mehr 2% wachsen. Zwar entwickelte sie sich im 1. Halbjahr 2008 viel dynamischer als im Durchschnitt des Euro-Raumes, jedoch verringert sich der Anstieg seit Jahresbeginn stetig. Unter den heimischen Unternehmen schwindet der Optimismus. Die Abschwächung der Konjunktur in den USA, der hohe Erdölpreis und die für die Warenausfuhr ungünstigen Wechselkursbedingungen werden die Wirtschaft auch noch im Jahr 2009 belasten. Das BIP dürfte real um nur 0,9% zunehmen. Dies sollte auch den Arbeitsmarkt beeinträchtigen. Die Beschäftigungszunahme wird sich verflachen und die Arbeitslosigkeit wieder steigen.
