Abstract

This book is written by accountants, auditors, and philosophers for accountants and auditors. It is the first book to meet the new SAICA requirements related to examination on concepts of ethics and application to the accounting profession. It contains a high-level coverage of basic philosophies on ethics and more in-depth coverage of related legislation. South African caselets are included. This is a concise guide to the legal and ethical "rules" for accountants, written to fill curriculum requirements for B Comm (Accounting) students now required by the SA Institute of Chartered Accountants to be examined in the CA board exam on the practice of ethics. The revised edition has been streamlined by the revision of four chapters - chapters 6, 12, 13, 14 and one of the original authors has been replaced by two new authors.
