Volumul Adevar si cunoastere in rationalismul empiric al autoarei Emilia Closca, publicat la Editura Lumen trateaza gradat pe parcursul a cinci capitole o idee-forta, specifice gandirii popperiene: metoda deductiva a testarii, soarta indictiei, falsificabilitatea, cresterea cunoasterii si adevarul. Partea introductiva a volumul trateaza rationalismul critic intre apropiere de adevar si cunoastere conjecturala. In capitolul I Contextul epistemologic in care se remarca rationalismul critic este tratata valoarea filosofiei pentru intelegerea lumii, precum si originile si sensul filosofarii, opinia si cunoasterea, realitatea filosofie si stiintei, precum si schimbarea de paradigma in epistemologia contemporana si trccerea de la logica stiintei la istoria stiintei. Capitolul al II – lea abordeaza sintetizat concepte cheie precum adevarul si cunoasterea din perspectiva lui Heidegger, stare-de-neascundere si ca semn distinctiv al cunoasterii fiintarii. In Profunzimea capitolului sunt dezbatute raportul dintre limbaj si realitate in adevar, precum si teorii ale adevarului si prezentarea adevarului din perspectiva rationalismului critic. Urmarind structura volumului, capitolul al III – lea - Problema inductiei sau cum putem invata din experienta trateaza demersul inductiv, prin scepticismul lui Hume – inceputul problemei inductiei, raspunsuri la problema inductiei, failibilismul lui Peirce, principiul cauzalitatii la Hume si Kant dar si rezolvarea problema inductiei de catre Karl Popper. Capitolul al IV - lea - Carnap versus Popper aduce in discutie prin prezenta a cinci subcapitole aspecte precum filosofia intre mirare si analiza logica, constructia logica a lumii, consistenta rationala a gandirii filosofice, problematica demarcativa a campului stiintific precum si o revolutie a conceptelor din perspectiva unei metodologii negative . In capitolul al V – lea - Coroborare si falsificabilitate, autorul trateaza noul spirit stiintific, criteriul falsificabilitatii sau prezenta unei dialectici negative si consecintele sale, apropierea de adevar in sensul cunoasterii conjecturale si rolul erorii in cunoastere, un ultim subcapitol ce trateaza trecerea de la indoiala carteziana la failibilismul popperian.
