Abstract

This work falls within the regional growth studies series which the Foundation has developed over the past several years. It examines the basic traits of the region s economic growth since halfway through the twentieth century. The main focus of its contents is the relationship between physical and human capital formation, employment, income and productivity. It also looks at the particular development of the Andalusian economy in the context of Spanish economic growth, with the accent on how the region has performed since Spain joined the European Community.
