Government Credit Subsidies for Energy Development

Abstract

This book examines proposals for fostering energy independence in the United States through federal financial assistance to private energy firms. The study concludes that credit subsidies are inefficient because they fail to meet the need for basic market incentives to increase domestic energy production.
