Abstract

Armut, Arbeitslosigkeit und die Suche nach einem wirtschaftlich besseren Leben gelten oft als die Gründe, die Menschen aus Westafrika zum Auswandern bewegen. Julia Stier und Irene Pañeda-Fernández haben Menschen vor und nach der Migration befragt und stellen fest: Die Entscheidungen hinter diesem Schritt sind viel komplexer. Migration ist ein vielschichtiger sozialer Prozess.
