Abstract

Digitale Teilhabe wird vor allem für junge Menschen wichtiger. Diese Beteiligung ist nicht ortsgebunden, lässt sich zeitlich flexibler gestalten und ist zielgerichtet. Damit passt sie gut in die Alltagswelt von Jugendlichen, die oft nicht mehr zwischen Online- und Offline-Aktivitäten unterscheiden. Der dritte Engagementbericht der Bundesregierung, den Jeanette Hofmann als Leiterin der Kommission maßgeblich verantwortete, macht auf ungleiche Bedingungen aufmerksam: Digitales Engagement beschränkt sich auf junge Bildungsbürger*innen; andere Gruppen artikulieren ihre Interessen nicht.
