Abstract

Wenn nach den Ursachen von Hasskriminalität gegen Geflüchtete gesucht wird, werden oft strukturelle Ursachen ins Feld geführt – Arbeitslosigkeit etwa oder regional schwache Infrastruktur. Die Autoren dieses Beitrags haben untersucht, welche Rolle es spielt, wenn über Straftaten mit ausländischen Tatverdächtigen in der Lokalpresse oder in sozialen Medien berichtet wird. Der Befund ist eindeutig.
