Die Lage am Stahlmarkt: Nachfrage nach Stahl schwächt sich ab

Abstract

Die Rohstahlerzeugung ist im Jahr 2018 weltweit um 4,7% gewachsen. Damit ist die Kapazitätsauslastung zwar leicht gestiegen, bleibt aber im längerfristigen Vergleich niedrig. Für 2019 zeichnet sich allerdings aufgrund der weltweit nachlassenden wirtschaftlichen Dynamik eine Zunahme der Rohstahlerzeugung um nur noch 1¾% ab. In Deutschland haben sich die gesamtwirtschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen für die Stahlindustrie bereits verschlechtert, so dass sie 2018 bereits 2% weniger Rohstahl produzierte. Da die Nachfrage nach Stahl wesentlich von den Exporten und den Ausrüstungsinvestitionen bestimmt wird, dürfte sie auch 2019 nur wenig zunehmen. Allein seitens der Bauinvestitionen wird die Stahlnachfrage weiter gestützt. Vor diesem Hintergrund ist zu erwarten, dass die deutsche Rohstahlerzeugung im Jahr 2019 erneut sinken wird, um 1,7%. Dann dürfte es auch zu einem Stellenabbau in der Stahlindustrie kommen.
