Die Lage der Weltwirtschaft und der deutschen Wirtschaft im Frühjahr 2003

Abstract

Die Weltkonjunktur befindet sich in einer Schwächephase. Erst im weiteren Verlauf des nächsten Jahres wird die Produktion in vielen Regionen etwas rascher expandieren als das Produktionspotential. Die deutsche Wirtschaft verharrt in einer Phase langanhaltender Schwäche. Erst in der zweiten Hälfte des Jahres 2003 setzt eine konjunkturelle Belebung ein. Sie wird aber nur schleppend vorankommen. Die gesamtwirtschaftliche Kapazitätsauslastung wird dabei weiter sinken, und die Lage auf dem Arbeitsmarkt wird sich nochmals verschlechtern. Im Jahr 2004 wird sich die Erholung zwar festigen, dann dürfte auch die Binnennachfrage wieder leicht steigen. Insgesamt dürfte die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung in Deutschland aber im kommenden Jahr ohne große Dynamik bleiben.
